 More Lourmarin rentals

ph01.jpg

We also have two rental properties in the centre of the village of Lourmarin. Like our studios at Les Olivettes, they are designed for a couple to stay in comfort and style for a week. They are ideal for travellers who want to savour Provençal village life, to chat with the neighbours and have breakfast on a café terrace while watching the world go by. Both are furnished to the same high standards as Les Olivettes.

La petite Maison : A Charming Little House for Two - In the Centre of Lourmarin

Petite maison

This small seventeenth century house is in the heart of the village on a sunny, quiet square opposite a fountain and the Catholic church. It is comfortable, cosy, and has lots of charm. Unusually for a village house, the Petite Maison is very light, since it faces south onto its own little private terrace overlooking the church square and the fountain.

Petite maison

We have furnished this small (37m2) house with great care and attention to detail, and it has a very homely feel. It is full of books, music, and an eclectic and comfortable selection of antiques, bric-a-brac and attractive artwork.

Petite maison

There is a small galley kitchen, a satellite TV, a music center and CD/cassette collection, and tons of books. You can dine inside at the dining table, or out on the terrace. The Petite Maison is ideal for a couple who enjoy reading and music, and staying in a little haven where they can observe village close-up. If you speak a little French, you can even join in. Le Loft : A Stylish 19th century apartment in the heart of Lourmarin

Le Loft

Located in the heart of the village above one of Lourmarin's several chic cafés and sheltered from the street by a leafy elm tree, Le Loft is situated in a historic building that was previously one of the few grand patrician houses of the village.

The apartment has typical nineteenth century architectural features - very high ceilings, tall windows and decorative mouldings featuring cornucopias of fruit and flowers and cherub faces.

This spacious one-bedroom apartment overlooks the picturesque village square and is very light, with high ceilings and large casement windows. There is a cosy, quiet double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, and a large living/dining room with a hideaway kitchen.

Le Loft

We have furnished the apartment with an eclectic, yet harmonious assortment of antiques and bric-à-brac, contemporary furnishings and objets d'art, and craftsman-built cabinets and furniture. Our aim is to provide extremely comfortable accommodation in elegant surroundings, while losing nothing of the slightly faded charm of this beautiful property.

Le Loft

On the square below, our guests have the choice of three café terraces, for breakfast, lunch and, in season, dinner too. There is very little through traffic in Lourmarin, and on weekends the center of the village is closed to cars. So, although the square is pleasantly lively, the effect inside the apartment is of a gentle hubbub filtered through the branches of the elm tree outside the windows.

Le Loft

Incidentally, the windows of the apartment and the café terrace below are THE place to be for people-watching, a popular sport in fashionable Lourmarin. The Loft offers a very French experience. Click for Rates, Terms and Conditions.

Le Bastidon du Coco : A secluded country retreat with pool

As of September 1st, we can also offer you a more spacious house. You might call this a paradoxical get-away. It seems to be lost in the countryside; it's really just outside the charming and busy village of Lourmarin. It's a lovely ten-minute walk - or five minute bike ride - to town. And it has plenty of room for up to five people. The "Coco" is very private, and has its own sizeable swimming pool and, of course, extensive grounds. And this modern house, recently built around the old stone 'cabanon' (cottage) belongs to friends of ours, a pleasant local man and his charming wife.

La Bastide de Coco

Le Bastidon du Coco has many modern luxuries, such as flat-screen tv's in all rooms, air-conditioning and a state-of-the art kitchen - all with a modern Provençal feel.

La Bastide de Coco

La Coco is situated about one mile from the center of the village in a meadow surrounded by fields and woods. It offers open and verdant views -southwards over hills and vineyards, and north towards the Luberon mountains.

La Bastide de Coco

Le Coco is a wonderful retreat for people who love (or need) peace and quiet, and yet it is only a ten minute walk to all the amenities (shops, supermarket, cafés & restaurants) in the center of the lively picturesque village of Lourmarin.
